An excellent resort with two 18-hole golf courses. Mar-Pinos is the most difficult of the two courses. Numerous water hazards and narrow fairways add to the challenge. The local Atlantic sea breeze increases difficulty. Interesting for beginners: Golf School with lessons given in German language. Large clubhouse with inviting terrace and good restaurant.

Novo Sancti Petri can boast of having two 18-hole golf courses designed by Seve Ballesteros together with excellent training facilities, an ideal location for beginner and mid-range handicappers, and for lower handicappers to potentially shoot a flattering score.
The Mar-Pinos (Sea-Pines) combination of this 36-hole complex, provides a gently undulating front nine with sea views and occasional water hazards, and a back nine that combines some tree-lined holes with others in a clearer area. The 6th green is the most spectacular, situated just overlooking the beach!
Essentially, this is a well-laid-out holiday golf course, where hazards and dangers are not overdone and the pace of play is also reasonably relaxed...

Le golf est situé sur le domaine en développement de Novo Sancti Petri, sur la côte atlantique de Cádiz. Ce complexe récent, qui s'adresse à un nouveau type de tourisme, s'étend sur un terrain de 400 hectares , en bordure de mer et de la magnifique plage de La Barrosa, à Chiclana de la Frontera. Le resort propose deux parcours 18 trous. Le premier possède sur ses 9 premiers trous de vastes fairways et 3 lacs. Le trou n°6, qui surplombe la plage, est vraisemblablement le plus spectaculaire. Les trous n°10 à 18 sont bordés de pins.
Le second parcours voit ses 9 premiers trous se dérouler sur un terrain plat avec un lac entre les trous n°5, 8 et 9. A partir du trou n°10 le terrain devient plus vallonné et offre de magnifiques points de vue sur l'océan. De nombreux pièges d'eau, des bunkers, une abondante végétation, le tout balayé par la brise provenant de la mer rendent le jeu plus difficile sur ce parcours. Le club offre une gamme complète de services de qualité.

Unvergessen bleibt die Abendstimmung, dieses einmalige Licht- und Farbspiel auf der sechsten Bahn des A-Kurses von Novo Sancti Petri: eine Lightshow, dass man leicht seinen Putt vergessen könnte. Die Konturen der Sandbunker verschmelzen mit der Dünenlandschaft, das Rauschen der Brandung verebbt und eine milde Brise trägt salzigen Meerwassergeruch über den Strand aufs Grün.

Sollten Sie auf diesem Parcours nicht mit dem gewünschten Score ins Clubhaus kommen, so liegt dies zumeist an zwei Ursachen: zum einen an den zahlreichen Schirmpinien, die auf diesem Parcours oftmals geradezu provokativ mitten im Weg stehen, zum anderen an dem grandiosen Küstenpanorama: Vor allem im sanften Abendlicht lässt es das Schlägerschwingen zeitweise zweitrangig erscheinen. Spaniens Nationalheld Severiano Ballesteros hat den Kurs gebaut, und man ist so stolz auf das Resultat, dass man sich sogar für den Ryder Cup bewarb. Auch wenn bekanntermassen daraus nichts geworden ist, lohnt der Platz dennoch ganz ohne Zweifel…
